This photo at St, Mark’s may have had it origins at the Grand Army of the Republic’s museum two blocks away on Griscom Street in Frankford. The decorations belong to the temporary “Avenue of Fame” erected for a national encampment or convention of the G.A.R. staged the first week of September 1899. Avenue of Fame and its elements designed by architect Frank Furness.
