My family were members of these church for many years. My dad, Clarence Thomas was a member of the Men’s Vestry along with Mr. Webb, Mr. Polk and so many others. My sister Judith (Skippy) I sang on the choir and my brothers Forrest and Clarence were acolytes. It was the best time of my life. My dad, mom and other adult members of the church helped us teenagers start a, “TEENAGE CANTEEN” that lasted about three years. My sister was married by Father Davis. Those memories will stay with me forever. They were some of the best tears of my life.

I was baptized by Father Davis. My family were members for many years along with the Bells and other families. My grandparents had the celebration of their 50th Wedding anniversary in the basement of St. Monica’s. My memories are of a warm and inviting place of worship where the people were one big family. I have never felt that same atmosphere in any other church.
