Photograph of the Confirmation Classes of St. Barnabas Church, Germantown, and St. Peter’s Church, Germantown (1966)

From the archives of St. Luke’s Church, Germantown. The same photo was found at St. Mary’s Church, Hamilton Village. Perhaps several members of that parish were among the confirmands.

The Tall Officiant is the Rev. G. Richard McKelvey, Rector of St. Peter’s Germantown. The sanctuary is St. Peter’s. St. Barnabas was 2 blocks North and West of St. Peter’s. St. Bananas was more Anglo-Catholic like St. Luke’s. When Germantown parishes gathered at St. Peter’s for Lent. St. Barnabas would officiate and give St. Peter’s its annual dose of incense.
