My parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts, and cousins were members of St. Monica’s when I was born. In 1956 my immediate family moved to Elkins Park in a great suburb where I went to wonderful schools. I eventually earned my Masters at Temple. I was baptized, given catechism and received my first communion at St. Monica’s. My life and that of many other children who attended St. Monica’s would not have been so successful if that church had not existed during most of our childhoods.
